I am so fortunate to live in close connection with nature in the strikingly beautiful setting of Bellingham WA. I can usually be found on my property planning and managing my ventures of growing both therapeutic and native plants, or devising and creating carefully thought out regimens and botanical formulas for clients and family, while learning and growing as an herbal practitioner, an ever-expanding life mission, In my off-time I am usually exploring the NW: hiking, bicycling, kayaking, skiing, or slapping out laps in the pool, and photographing the treasures I come across in nature,
Immersed in scientific studies and the arts for much of my life, I grew up with an entrepreneurial Pharmacist father, a highly creative and loving mother, and the youngest in a family of accomplished athletes. I realized while in college what a strong propensity I have for pharmacology, physiology, chemistry, and biology in addition to an aptitude for design. I completed a degree in Nursing, followed by degrees in Biology and Graphic Design, and gained experience as a Registered / Research Nurse and a free-lance Graphic Designer. My interests as a Clinical Herbalist have evolved naturally from this scientific base and creative nature where art and science collide. This has resulted in many years of herbal studies, with applications for humans and canines, and has manifested in my dedication to bring botanical perspectives to those who are searching for options to wellness, and to be an ambassador for the plants.
I am a lifelong learner, a dog-lover, passionate about the plants that I eat, grow, observe, and rely on to support my own and other's health, and am intimately inspired by nature: plants, wildlife and fungi, I live with my husband and have 2 adult children, with their spouses, and 2 grand-dogs.
